My Miniature Musicians

Today, we 'studied' rhythm. Pots and pans, plastics, spatulas, wooden forks, and a lot of noise. The kids had a blast, and I feel kind of like the cat from Tom and Jerry. You know, when he is beat across the head with some handy piece of cookware and then his whole body vibrates and his vision blurs? Yeah, that's me. However, it occupied the kids for a solid half hour and I was able to be productive without the aid of pint size people under my feet. 'Hooray' for the day!

This never ceases to amaze me, the things you think of to do. my head knows to do that, but on mornings where we're all a little crazy, the best I can think of is crayons. Maybe instead I should think, "pick up the phone and call, aubrey. she'll tell me what to do."

Gah I love your kids, and even more now that that they're learning music!(well beginning stages anyway.) Teach them how to play piano and I know a certain trumpet player that would LOVE to play some duets at church or something. Gah first sign language and now music, your kids have a lot going for them.
